The immediate surroundings of the hotel primarily consist of other chain hotels and office park buildings. Continental breakfast is served in the main lobby restaurant and while the food was similar to what you would get at a Hyatt Place, the servers were very friendly and genuinely outgoing. The bed was remarkably comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. Our 3rd floor room within the main complex overlooked a small lake (and the freeway) and had everything you needed for a short stay – comfortable bed, work desk, ample light, safe, TV, and coffee facilities.
Breakfast vouchers, welcome cookies, and complimentary bottled water were provided as we had Hilton Gold status. Located a short 5 minute drive from the airport, our 11pm check-in was fast and friendly. While there is nothing remarkable or special about the property (or the area), if you need a clean place to spend the night, the hotel delivers. Arriving late into Salt Lake City, we opted to spend the night at the DoubleTree by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport given it's inexpensive price, free parking, proximity to the airport, and generally solid reviews.
